On the device

Sessions, gear, and target photos stay on the phone. Without an account they are not uploaded.

Account

Sign in with Apple or email uses the same Examiner account as Shot Examiner and Hunt Examiner. Apple may give a private relay address instead of your real email. The password is handled by the account service and is not stored in the app.

A rifle or bow you save can appear in the other Examiner apps. Session history keeps a snapshot of the setup used at the time.

Range records

When you are signed in, shots, groups, notes, conditions, and target photos sync to your account so another phone can restore them. Photos are not copied into the Examiner Shot Profile. The profile keeps a short summary: distances, group measures, sample size, and dates.

Camera and photos

The camera photographs a target after you finish shooting. A photo you choose from the library is used only to confirm impacts for that session. Photos are not used for advertising.

Location

If you allow location while a session is running, Range Examiner uses it to record elevation and weather at the range. Those readings stay with the session. Location is not placed on a public page and is not used for advertising.

Purchases

Apple processes the payment. Range Examiner does not receive your full payment card number. A Range Examiner subscription is separate from Shot Examiner and Hunt Examiner unless you buy the Examiner Suite Apple offers.

Where it is kept

Accounts, gear, session records, and target photos are hosted by Supabase. Apple handles Sign in with Apple, payment, and WeatherKit. We do not sell this information.

What this service does not collect

Range Examiner does not use advertising, and it does not track you across other companies’ apps and websites. The marketing pages do not set advertising cookies.

Deleting an account

You can delete the account from Settings in the app. Deleting it removes the account and the range records stored for it. Deleting the account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Canceling the subscription does not delete the account.

Age

Range Examiner is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly keep information from a child under 13. If you believe we have, write to privacy@shotexaminer.com.
